WHAT ARE THE OPENING HOURS?

From January 2nd to April 7th and from Septembre 1st to December 31 rd 2023

Every day from 10AM to 6PM. Last entries until 5PM.

From April 8th to August 31st 2023

Every day from 10AM to 7PM. Last entries until 6PM.

Exceptional closures

The site will be closed on 01/01, 09/01 and 25/12. Early closure on 24/12 and 31/12.

HOW DOES A VISIT WORK?

Entry consists of an unguided visit of about two hours. The visit follows a trail guiding you from the bottom of the oceans, all around the Globe and right to the outer limits of our galaxy with the “Universe” zone.

CAN WE GO OUT DURING THE VISIT AND FINISH IT LATER?

For security reasons, any exit from the site is definitive.

DO YOU OFFER A GROUP RATE?

To benefit from the group rate, you must be at least 20 people. It is preferable to book in advance but you can also go to the ticket sales desk on the day of your arrival.

WHAT DO THE TICKETS SOLD BY PLANET OCEAN MONTPELLIER GIVE ACCESS TO?

Whether you buy tickets online, through an employee representative committee or at our ticket sales desk, Planet Ocean Montpellier tickets allow you to visit the entire site with access to the aquatic themed areas as well as the astronomical themed areas. Only the “Special Planetarium Session” ticket is different: it gives access to the special planetarium sessions that take place one saturday of the month at 7pm (excludes the visitor trail).

HOW CAN I GET TICKETS?

There are several ways of buying tickets:

1. Buy your tickets online on our website and benefit from special rates and a priority queue.

2. Buy your tickets directly from our ticket sales desks.

3. Buy your tickets from employee representative committees and reseller partners.

WHAT ARE THE ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS?

You can make your payments at all our points of sale (tickets, catering and shop), in cash, credit cards (except American Express), holiday vouchers (ANCV), and culture vouchers.

DO I HAVE TO PRINT THE TICKETS I BOUGHT ONLINE?

If you buy your tickets online, printing is not necessary. However, be sure to download the tickets to your smartphone or tablet and present them at the tills when you arrive.

Please note that if you have a voucher (e. g. Kalidea, AirBus, Tourist Office), it must be printed.

CAN I USE MY TICKETS THE SAME DAY?

As specified before purchase, tickets purchased on our online ticketing system are not immediately valid. Please note that you will only be able to use them one hour after purchase.

IF I ALREADY HAVE TICKETS, DO I HAVE TO QUEUE?

If you have physical or electronic tickets, you can use the priority queue to have your tickets checked and validated at the tills.

CAN WE EAT INSIDE PLANET OCEAN MONTPELLIER?

Picnics are not permitted on site. The Emeraude Café is open at certain times of the year. For more information, go to the dedicated page.

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES INSIDE THE SITE?

Photos are allowed. However, please do not use flash.

CAN AN UNACCOMPANIED MINOR VISIT?

In accordance with regulations, children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during their visit to Planet Ocean Montpellier.

CAN YOU BRING YOUR PET WITH YOU?

Our animal friends are not allowed on site for hygiene and safety reasons, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind.

CAN WE ACCESS THE SITE WITH A SUITCASE?

Due to the Vigipirate security plan, suitcases, hiking bags and other large bags are prohibited within the site.

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM OR LOCKER ROOM INSIDE THE SITE?

Due to the Vigipirate security plan, Planet Ocean Montpellier has neither a cloakroom nor a locker room for the general public.

I LOST AN OBJECT DURING MY VISIT, WHAT CAN I DO?

If you have lost something, please contact us by email at contact@planetoceanworld.fr or via our Facebook page, specifying the date of your visit and providing us with a brief description of the lost item.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GALILEAN PLANETARIUM?

The Galileo Planetarium has closed definitively. Planet Ocean Montpellier is the result of the merger between the Aquarium Mare Nostrum and Planétarium Galilée From now on, visitors can explore the underwater world and the confines of the universe by visiting Planet Ocean Montpellier! In addition, planetarium sessions are regularly offered at Planet Ocean.
